The Maui News – April 26, 2011
KAHULUI – The long-awaited Courtyard Maui Kahului Airport hotel is set to open in June, a month earlier than previously announced.
The 128-room, 10-suite hotel is located in the triangle formed by the intersection of Haleakala Highway and Keolani Place. It is across from Costco.
The $16.5 million project includes Courtyard’s signature Bistro, which will be open daily for breakfast and dinner.
The four-story hotel is a joint venture of A&B Properties and R.D. Olson Development. It is aiming to attract guests who are business travelers, government workers on assignment and Hawaii residents in need of convenient and reasonably priced lodging.
The hotel includes both indoor and outdoor event venues, along with complimentary airport shuttle service. It is located a little more than one mile from Kahului Airport.
The lobby will have technology features to enable guests to stay current with the latest world news, check airport schedules or find local attractions and community events.
Guests also will have complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access during their stay. Rooms will have iPod docking stations. Other features include an outdoor pool and an exercise room.
Work on the project began in April 2011.
